In an effort to interact with fans and generate excitement for the premiere of the “COMEDY CENTRAL Roast Of Roseanne,” which airs on Sunday, August 12 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT, COMEDY CENTRAL has launched an extensive digital and social media campaign which enables fans to interact with the Roast live through the network’s Roast Dashboard, an exclusive second-screen optimized experience. The Roast Dashboard, available online and on mobile and tablet devices, will allow viewers to “Share The Burn” with their friends through interactive digital features synched with the telecast, including continuously updated memes, shareable GIFs and videos of show highlights, and make it easy to join or follow the Roast conversation on Twitter while the night unfolds on television.
As viewers watch the talent step up to roast Roseanne, fans will find some of the hottest jokes and funniest moments from the night pop up immediately into the Dashboard’s “Share The Burn” section – a collection of shareable memes, exclusive videos and GIFS from the Roast – as they happen on-air. Other elements of the Roast Dashboard include a “Reaction Cam,” which gives fans a view of Roseanne’s reactions to the Roast burns in real time, and a Twitter Tracker where fans can follow the conversations throughout the premiere, see which Roasters are trending, as well as view top trending jokes and quotes from the night.

Comedy Central Roseanne Roast Details
ROSEANNE BARR IS THE GATEWAY DRUG FOR UNACCEPTABLE ISSUES ON TV (GLBT, FAT, DYSFUNCTION, PRO-MARIJUANA) WOULD SHE DO THE SAME FOR THE COUNTRY IF SHE WERE PRESIDENT?
Comedy Central Roast of Roseanne was Live at the Hollywood Palladium August 4, 2012. Comic Bible Host Tamara Henry covered the event.
The red carpet was packed with stars out to roast or see Roseanne be skewered with laughs. On the red carpet roasters prepared; the running joke was "WHAT THE HELL IS THE COMIC BIBLE!!??"
Inside, the stage was set to look like the house on "Roseanne". Roseanne, who wreaked of marijuana, looked simply stunning in her silver chiffon and frosted silver hair, and her smile was magical throughout the entire show.
Sharon Stone was a no show, Ellen Barkin was her replacement.
"Sons of Anarchy" Matriarch Katy Sagal, Alicia Goranson gave a great display of comedic timing and the use of orchestrated silence. The brunt of the lowest and meanest jokes fell on Wayne Brady and Amy Schumer and Carrie Fisher. At the end Tom Arnold made a surprise appearance after not being in the same room with Roseanne for 18 years. Tom's voice sounded like David Letterman and he told Roseanne she was his Johnny Carson. The show ended with a climactic comical ending from Gilbert Gottfried and a standing ovation as a redemptive Roseanne successfully sang the last two lines of the National Anthem.
The last roast was Charlie Sheen and this roast was like Politically Incorrect meets the Vagina Monologues. A must see show on Sunday August 12th at 10pm on Comedy Central.

COMEDY CENTRAL is rolling out the red carpet for one of America’s most outspoken and pioneering comedians. The network announced today that Roseanne Barr will be the next Roastee. The “COMEDY CENTRAL Roast Of Roseanne” (#RoseanneRoast) will tape in Los Angeles on Saturday, August 4. The Roast will premiere on COMEDY CENTRAL on Sunday, August 12 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.
“Although Roseanne appears to be a demure, soft spoken woman eternally committed to the status quo, we believe under the surface is an explosive, trail-blazing cultural revolution. We are honored to Roast her,” said Kent Alterman, Head of Original Programming and Production, COMEDY CENTRAL. “Celebrating Roseanne’s unprecedented achievements in comedy and television will surely inspire us to make this Roast more reminiscent of the classic roasts, where the intimacy of friends jousting with each other came through.”
When asked about the Roast, Roseanne remarked, “All I can say is good luck finding anything about me to make fun of... I mean, I've never made a mistake or offended anyone in my life!”
