Ullah returns to Joe’s Pub in Manhattan where he will present “Indio”
-his one-man show recalling his upbringing as a Muslim  while living
in Spanish Harlem  - on Monday, October 24th & Thursday, October 27th

Co-Filmic Comedy Short Film Fest


The first-ever COFILMIC Short Comedy Film Festival Awards Ceremony will take place in the UK on November 1st , showcasing fantastic new comedy talent and offering budding comedy hopefuls an opportunity to mingle with comedy glitterati.

The ceremony at The Comedy Store in Manchester will provide the audience with the chance to view the shortlisted films, as well as vote for four of their favourites to be shown alongside those selected by the judges in the COFILMIC ‘Best of the Festival’ UK tour.

The COFILMIC Awards will be attended by a leading panel of judges including Baby Cow co-founder Henry Normal (Mighty Boosh, Gavin & Stacey, The Trip), (BAFTA winning producer Charlie Hanson (producer of Extras, Life’s Too Short, Cemetery Junction), Martin Riley (managing director, Lion Eyes TV), Steve North (commissioning editor of DAVE) and Leslee Udwin (producer, East is East & West is West).

COFILMIC founder Janet Harrison said “Finally the UK will formally recognise up and coming film and broadcast comedy talent and about time too! We have a number of other exclusive opportunities for the very best of the festival films, so this is really just the beginning of an exciting year ahead for the lucky winners.”

Awards will be presented for Best Comedy Film, Best Sitcom Pilot, Best Sketch and Best Performer (newcomer). The stellar collection of prizes includes face-to-face sessions with industry experts including Leslee Udwin, Charlie Hanson, Dave Spikey (co-creator, Phoenix Nights), Walli Ullah (founder, The Division Films) and Kristian Smith (commissioning editor, BBC Comedy).

Presented By Corona, “COMEDY CENTRAL Pop-Up Stand-Up” Goes Live Tonight
With Gabriel Iglesias At The Addison Improv Comedy Theater In Dallas, TX

 COMEDY CENTRAL has launched “COMEDY CENTRAL Pop-Up Stand-Up,” a new series of free live all-star stand-up shows at secret locations throughout the country.  The first show kicks off tonight, Monday October 24, with Gabriel Iglesias, host of COMEDY CENTRAL’S hit TV series "Gabriel Iglesias Presents: Stand-Up Revolution" at The Addison Improv Comedy Theater in Dallas, TX.  Presented by Corona, “COMEDY CENTRAL Pop-Up Stand-Up” will invite an all-star stand-up comedian to participate in the pop-up showcase while fans are challenged to solve clues to discover the location and date of the stand-up performance.  The clues are updated daily on the COMEDY CENTRAL Pop-Up Stand-Up Website, Facebook and Twitter and the missing details are revealed only a few days before the show.
